Debbie Malone is a spirit photographer whose natural psychic ability attracts spirits to the camera. Although standard photographic equipment is unable to capture the apparitions in full-form, certain aspects of their presence such as reflected light, shadows, auras and orbs are clearly visible across a mixture of digital and film photographs.
All photographs in the Spirit Photography section of the site are taken by Debbie, except for the Viewer Photo of the Month section.

On 5/6/10 I held a workshop at the Waratah Retreat in very historical town called Picton in New South Wales.
During the workshop participants were taught various psychic techniques as well as learning how to photograph the paranormal.
During the night we had a progressive dinner and visited the Anthill Golf Course, Vaby's Restaurant and Wollondilly Shire Hall. Each location was extremely active with spirit energy.
I have visited Picton on many occasions, this was the most successful visit I have ever had. Everybody captured images of orbs and ectoplasm forming from the orbs which is quite rare. The night was very still and clear, there wasn't any moisture or fog in the air.

Debbie filmed with the Today Tonight Team headed by reporter David Richardson at Picton. The first location was the Upper Picton Cemetery and during the following day at the Redbank Range Tunnel, also known as the Mushroom Tunnel. Many images were captured while filming with the Today Tonight Team. The ghosts certainly were ready to play while we filmed.

The Capitol Theatre is a beautiful old theatre that has undergone many transformations. The theatre opened in 1928 on the site of the Old Belmore Markets site. This location has been home to Wirth's Circus and Hippodrome, The Capitol Picture Palace and The Australian Opera just to name a few.
The Capitol is now used for various musical and theatre presentations.
It has always been a dream of mine to be able to photograph this beautiful grand old threatre. When Michael Jacobsen (current owner of the Capitol) gave me the opportunity to be able to do this, I was more than pleased by what the current and past occupants of the theatre presented me on film.

The photographs in this set are very interesting. I was contacted by a family who live in a ground floor unit at Cronulla who have been experiencing a haunting. I don't normally do house calls anymore, but when I heard the distress this family was experiencing I couldn't refuse to help them. On first entering the unit I was drawn to the hallway and to the back two bedrooms on the right. Instantly I could feel energy swishing around me and felt as if I wasn't welcome. I discovered that a young male ghost who told me his name was Paul, was the person responsible for the disturbances. I firstly took photographs of all rooms and Paul seemed to only appear in the two right hand side bedrooms. I smudged the unit and his energy was moving all over the place as you will see from the photographs.
